Mesh Fixation

Surgeons have expressed a need for a fast, strong adhesive that is safe for use inside the body and resorbs as natural healing occurs. Such an adhesive could be used to adhere soft tissues in orthopedic applications or to secure implants such as hernia meshes. Currently, the staples used to secure hernia mesh often lead to surgical trauma resulting in neuralgia and paresthesia due to nerve entrapment. Our mesh fixation will be the first synthetic resorbable adhesive to target this market.
